CAMP
GUMBO 2008
We're
back for our third year of Kid's Cooking Camp this summer, and we can't wait.
We are currently planning three separate, 5-day sessions: the first 2
will be in June (the 1st and 2nd weeks), and the 3rd and final session for 2008
will be in mid-August, right before school starts up again for the fall.
For this
all-new session of Camp Gumbo, Liz
Howard is back, this time taking our young campers on a culinary tour
of the Mediterranean.
Over the 5
days of Camp Gumbo,
Liz will lead our fearless campers on an exploration of the cuisines of Sicily, Greece,
Spain, Turkey, and Tunisia.
The kids
will make exciting food such as Canoli (Sicily),
Homemade Yogurt (Greece),
Ensaimadas (Spain), Kabobs (Turkey) and Couscous (Tunisia).
And the best part? The kids eat
what they cook!
Camp runs 5 consecutive days, and just like last year,
we’re hosting the “little kids” (ages 6-9) in the morning from 9am – Noon, and
the “big kids” (ages 10-13) from 1pm – 4pm. Here the sessions:

KID'S BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Kids
love to cook! So, The Savvy Gourmet is excited to be welcoming young chefs to
learn and explore with the addition of Savvy Kids. The focus of Savvy
Kids is to cultivate an appreciation for coming together over home-made food
through hands-on interaction in our learning kitchen.
One of
the best Kid's offerings we have is our KID'S BIRTHDAY PARTIES hosted here at
